woStep® MDO panels
offer consistent quality and dependability for today's
signmaker. Olympic Panel combines the strength of high quality
plywood with tough overlays to give you superior surface
performance and much longer life than other sign
materials.
TwoStep® MDO panels are made of high quality,
exterior-grade plywood with the same adhesives used in
marine plywood. The Medium Density Overlay is a fiber
sheet which has been treated with a resin formula for
optimal paint adhesion.
Olympic Panel overlaid plywood meets or exceeds the
exterior plywood requirements of U.S. Product Standard
PS-1 and bears the exterior grade-trademark of The
Engineered Wood Association.
Because the plywood substrate is repaired and sanded
before the overlay is applied, this two-step finishing
process reduces wood grain and repair show-through.
However, humidity will cause the wood grain to swell
slightly. TwoStep® delivers improved surface performance
and better looking signs than Guardian® MDO, but does
not have the surface quality or core specifications of
Signal®.
