Hardboard Faced Panels
for a Variety of Uses
Plyron is high quality, exterior grade plywood with a
hardboard surface for greater resistance to punctures and
abrasions. Ideal for a host of cabinetry and other
construction uses, Simpson Plyron combines the best feature of
plywood with the durability of hardboard. Its surfaces are
semi-polished, smooth, uniform in color and grain and resist
wear and denting. The plywood substrate provides excellent
strength and screw holding ability. Plyron's hardboard surface
is available in two types; standard and
tempered.

Wherever moist
conditions are anticipated, Tempered Plyron is highly
recommended.

TYPES Standard Plyron: Features
standard hardboard faces 0.10 inches
thick. Tempered Plyron: Features tempered
hardboard faces 0.11 inches
thick. CORE Both Standard and Tempered
Plyron feature C Grade Douglas fir inner plies as
defined by PS-1-83 and exterior-grade adhesives. Solid
core (c-repaired) cabinet stock is also
available. SIZES Width: 4
ft. Length: 8 ft. Thickness: 1/2"
(5-ply), 5/8" (5-ply), 3/4" (7-ply). Other thicknesses
available on special order.
