Wacker Drive Reconstruction

In 2001 Great Northern Lumber provided the lumber for the historic efforts to “Revive Wacker Drive”, downtown Chicago’s historic two-tier roadway used by over 180,000 vehicles a day, with work on The Wacker Drive Reconstruction Project Phase I. Work consisted of the complete demolition and replacement of the viaduct, lower Wacker roadway, and historical architecture including the five adjacent cross streets and structures for a total of 2100 LF.
